Ida Maria - “Oh My God”
Oh my god, indeed. I’d sent this song to a friend months ago and somehow completely forgot about Ida Maria since. It was the anthem of at least two weekend afternoons.
The album this song comes from, Fortress Round My Heart, is worth repeated listening.
(The video is neat, but the song is the better of the two.)

Whether you enjoy it or not, I love almost every bit of the lyrics and absolutely all of the music.
David Karsten Daniels - “Scripts” (3:27) (lyrics)

This is a short song. The majority of the lyrics end right after the halfway point, and the subject is sad (as usual for what I listen to), but it’s so well made.
David also added me on Twitter before I realised he was there, so I can only assume he knows I’ve been spreading the word of his great work. If you want to get into his work (I highly suggest you do) I’d also recommend “American Pastime” off of this same album.
John Frusciante - “A Doubt” (4:20)
There are a few songs by JF that I can probably listen to on repeat and only end the repeat loop when finally distracted by something more pressing. This is one of those songs (I might have posted others in the past, search your dashboards).
I’m very fond of this part “One time to play is the time your play for / and you never set a limit.”
This is a man who had a fame, a very public heroin addiction, and came back better and more powerful than ever. Without fighting to get things back, this song would simply not exist.

Most of the photos didn’t work out, but seven made it through. With not much processing done to the photos (if you saw how frail the histogram on these images are you wouldn’t mess with them either), but maybe these are good enough to share. More of my sort of stuff.
