Hi everyone! Here’s the first of two sets of snapshots from one of the sunniest days I’ve seen in a while. I don’t want to jinx the weather in any way, but can’t resist sharing a brief record of it.

It’s been a good week for directional texture.

I always deliver the photos and then forget to share them here with you, so here’s a couple photos from tonight’s rehearsal of Albertine in Five Times by Michel Tremblay, at the Walterdale Playhouse.
Possibly-interesting facts: I never ask rehearsals to stop, change the lighting, or interfere with production in any way. They act, I move around and shoot as things are happening. If I don’t get a shot or I didn’t meter properly, it’s my own damn fault.

I’m going to have to check again in a month or two, but I’m pretty sure the bark of trees changes color with the season. The variation in texture and tone on each tree just amazes me.

I might not remember the date or purpose of a photograph, but I somehow always remember where it was captured.
It’s Wednesday, the time of the week where I shake my camera out and see if we’ve met anything that looks interesting.
With the weather being so terrible I haven’t been venturing out much.
I keep thinking about the spring to come / Where’s your daring gone?
These were my two favorite photos I took from the last week.
Photos from the last few days. Wednesday is the unofficial camera-emptying day here.
I’m not the happiest with these, but I’m surprised to be seeing color at all this season. As ever, if you wish you can click the photos to see a larger version.
Photos from the last few days. The tiles in the top are the ones from this photo.
Did you know that you can click any of these photos and see a larger version? It’s true.
Four photos I took on my trip home today. I did this last week as well, if you’re interested.
Four photos I took on my walk home today.
I’m seeing what I can do to create something for you every Wednesday or Thursday, even if it is just something done in the process of doing something else.
