It was everything. When there’s some person who inspires others and you say “I really appreciate what you do!” you don’t expect to hear “I know you, and liked your work so much that I shared it with others, let me get your mailing address” (obvious paraphrasing).
To quote the phrase we all used after last year’s MaxFunCon- It happened. And we were there.
I love the fact that this happened.
doug:
I’m not kidding. Here’s proof. The call was real, I answered.
I thanked him for coming to town back in June, and told him I took photos. He asked if there was an address for the photos I put up- when I told him the flickr handle, he knew who Douglas Dollars was and thanked me. Apparently my photos are likely in a book of sheet music that he’s mailing me next week, and the photos might possibly be in the new album but he couldn’t remember (I’ll find out when the album arrives in late February), and a couple magazines. Awesome!
I thanked him for staying strong with the recent troubles he’s had to deal with, and thanked him again for being a part of MaxFunCon.
p.s.: HAVE FUN, PARTY, NEVER LET DOWN, NEVER LET UP
