“Community”

After taking a few weeks off from watching the show, I’m back solidly in the “I like it” camp. The Halloween themed episode (s01e07) was particularly nice, giving each character a costume that worked well for their overall in-show story. Bonus points for the Abed character (pictured right in the photo above) who was Batman in the episode and kept things squarely in the absurd level he seems to own. Each character is more or less a stereotype (including the ‘old white male’ stereotypes), but the character lines seem less restricted than most sitcoms I’ve seen.

The last minute or so from each episode features a closing tag or set of jokes between Troy (pictured left in he photo above) and Abed. The content is usually related to the episode’s story, but works well enough out of context that you might just want to tune in for that final minute if you’ve never seen the show before.

Also, the series features Chevy Chase, who I still find funny no matter what age he or I inhabit.
